April 18th, 2011 - Watercourse Non-profit Monday To help us celebrate Earth Day 2011, Watercourse Foods will be donating a percentage of their sales to Bands for Lands on the Monday before. The higher the sales, the higher percentage BFL will get. So take the opportunity to have some good food and support an eco-friendly organization!

April 22th, 2011- Earth Day Divertmento - To finish off Earth Week, the HI DIVE at 7 South Broadway will host a benefit concert featuring Denver acts Rubedo, ALL CAPITALS, The H is O, and The Heydey. The concert will be held on Earth Day, Friday April 22, 2011. The concert is also touted as a plastic-free event using all earth friendly products. Funds raised will support Bands for Lands' mission for conservation and sustainability.

November 4th-14th, 2010 - 33rd Annual Starz Denver Film Festival - The 12 days of SDFF33 yielded a record 99 sell-outs out of the featured 224 films from 30 countries: 49 documentaries, 91 features and 133 shorts. Attendance exceeded the previous record of 47,500 and ticket revenues were up 24% from last year. Bands for Lands was a beneficiary of this year's Film Festival and helped to staff volunteers at several venues over 12 days.

September 4th, 2010 - MAGO-GOGO! (Free Range Horse Demon) PERFORMANCE ART & MUSIC EVENT - Fire Spewing Robots, And Blood Thirsty Samurai Demons Are Unleashed in What is Known As Mago-Gogo -One Night Only! This all ages show takes place at Wazee Union, Sept. 4, 3pm-? Experience unique performance art, live music, amazing robots and machines, props, fight choreography, and projectile fake blood in a visual and audio extravaganza certain to be a feast for the senses.

July 22-25, 2010 - UMS 2010 - Bands For Lands was the official charity partner of the 2010 Underground Music Showcase! Net funds from the 2010 UMS will be directed towards BFL's chosen beneficiaries- Woodbine Ecology Center, Colorado Open Lands and Prairie Preservation Alliance. The UMS celebrated its 10th anniversary with a lineup featuring more than 300 local and national acts!

May 22nd, 2010 - Dressy Bessy Benefit Show Saturday May 22nd at The Oriental Theater - Come see Denver-based indie rock band Dressy Bessy perform with the sinister and seductive sounds of Swayback. Special guests: How To Construct a Monkey - A one-night event combining the sounds of Denver's art/prog rock bands Yerkish and The Construct.

May 1st, 2010 - 3rd Annual Derby Happens - Join us for the best Kentucky Derby party in Denver on May 1st at 3014 E. Colfax Ave! A $5 suggested donation at the door gets you your first mint julep for free. Derby attire encouraged with a crazy hat contest to follow the race. Derby-themed drink specials and a silent auction will make this a derby party that you'll never forget! Proceeds to benefit Bands for Lands.

October 12, 2009 - BFL is honored to announce we will be one of the featured organizations for Goodwill's Summer Youth Employment Program; a program of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

October 3, 2009 - Bands for Lands along with a consortium of social entrepreneurs,business and venue owners, city and state stake holders and nonprofit organizations will be partnering up to launch endOtrend, a philanthropically based festival featuring music, art, and film from local to national acts and artists. The mission of endOtrend is to create a near zero energy, near zero waste, sustainable festival. To promote sustainable practices that attendees can utilize long after the event. We want to bring attention to the beautiful world that we live in by focusing on eco & social responsibility, conservation and civic engagement through music, and the creative arts.”

Aug 2008 - Bands for Lands provides the Mobile Edutainment Collaboratory (MEC) to Tent State for their upcoming events during the DNC showcasing environmental and social awareness & justice issues. Internationally renowned scholars, celebreties, bands and artists locked in to perform including performances by Rage Against the Machine, The Coup, Flobots, Jello Biafra, State Radio, Wayne Kramer and more.

Demiurge Design completes second phase of MEC build-out; constructing the slide out stage.

June 2008 - First phase of the MEC is completed by Joe Riche of the Motoman Project; sliding doors and basic stage are in place. SVO conversion begins. BFL also continues its involvement with the Sustainable Living Roadshow and partners in preperation for the upcoming DNC event Aug 26 & 27th at Hirshorn Park in the Highlands Community.

April 2008 - Bands for Lands purchases and begins build out phase of the Mobile Educational Collaboratory (MEC), a bio-diesel and Straight Vegetable Oil (SVO) fueled, 24 foot box truck that has been converted into a mobile stage and venue. The Motoman Project takes on the task to build out this innovative and ambitious endeavor.

January 2008 - Bands for Lands forms partnership with The Sustainable Living Roadshow. Begins plans for upcoming summer and fall national tours.

In 2007 - BFL staff takes time off to assess the state of the organization. Transpiring from these meetings was a shifted focus and a new strategy that will more successfully carry out the mission of Bands for Lands. Coming soon BFL's The Construct Mobile Educational Collaboratory!
