Empowering Through Edutainment
Bands for Lands is a Colorado based 501 (c)(3) nonprofit
organization that is dedicated to communicating the message and practice of sustainability, conservation and social awareness issues through the mediums of music, the creative arts, inspirational speakers, educators and activists.
One way we'll accomplish this is through the Mobile Edutainment Collaboratory (MEC), a bio-diesel/vegetable oil (SVO) fueled, 24ft. box truck converted into a state of the art sound/visual media stage.
The MEC will attend events ranging from high visibility concerts, state fairs, festivals, conferences & conventions to regional, county and local community events

BFL establishes sustainable partnerships with communities and like-minded organizations, such as 9 News, 3 Kings Tavern, 97.3 FM KBCO, Alternative Tentacle Records. Auraria Campus Sustainability Program/SACAB, Autonomy Art Gallery, Implica Design, KGNU 88.5FM/1390AM ,Bluebird Theater, Acoustic Society and many more We lead by example. We are a green and socially conscious organization.
